My dear

I really like "my dear" recently. It sounds so loving and caring. It may sound a little cliche but I still personally love it.
I feel like "my dear: is for someone you love and care about but that person is far away from you. " Far away" here being physical distance but it could also be non-physical distance. Don't you have that person? One you care and love but you feel like they're vanishing into the midst of the time being when you want to get a hold on them?
