A man called Ove - Book review

“A man called Ove” by Fredrik Backman is a novel about a cranky old man named Ove. The story is about Ove’s life, his life when he was younger and his life at present. I believe this book hasn't been translated into Vietnamese just yet.
One bonus point, this book has a nice cover.
Don't judge me.
Ove is 59 years old. He used to live with his wife. “He’s the kind of man who points at people he doesn’t like the look of as if they were burglars and his forefinger a policeman’s flashlight” - that is how Backman described him in the novel himself.
People considered he was too mean to acknowledge the beauty of the world. However, I assumed that he simply has a very unique vision about how things should be done in this chaotic life. He has his own values and he doesn’t change them easily or accept any exceptions.
He simply has his own boundaries
He hates people who pay for someone else to paint their wall of concrete instead of doing it themselves. He hates people who use modern, automatic, "electronized" Japanese cars. He said what can a man who can't turn on his car by himself do for his wife and children?
I've been wondering the same thing.
I think that we should all have our own boundaries. At least, we shouldn't lower our values just yet.
He hates most of the living creatures but his wife.
" They said Ove saw life in black and white.
But she was all the color he had"

He had been annoying like so since forever. However, the table had been turned once he got to know his new neighbour. They are a family of four. A typical family of four with a pregnant mom, a normal dad and two naughty daughters. They just as similar as any family you can find in this world yet more interesting. That is why as they walked in, Ove’s life would stay blue no more. Furthermore, Ove’s life has only been changed twice. One was when he first met his wife and the other was when he got to know that family of four. Last but not least, my favourite quote from the book:" People don't have useful thing anymore. People just have shit"

The book itself is a simple story about Ove. How he has become the person he is and and how he has gradually changed to a brighter kind of person thanks to his new neighbour. It doesn’t seem like much but it is indeed a charming story. I would say that the book is entertaining yet thoughtful. Go ahead and pick it up if you interested in being entertained in a thoughtful way. If not then don't (even when this one has a nice cover), you'll find it sucks and quite offensive. But I like it either way.

Sounds really interesting to me, thanks for a nice brief review. Hmmm, maybe I should do some reviews, too, hein?
